Author Bio:
Author, dreamer. That says it all. Or close to it. Iād rather focus on my books than talk about me, but basically, I grew up with my nose in books. I married my high school sweetheart and we live in the midwest, raising funny, beautiful kids and chasing after funny, mischievous dogs. I’m something of a geek and a bit of a hermit.
What inspires you to write?
The voices in my head and the stories that play out in my mind.
Tell us about your writing process.
I have a story come into my head and I just sit back and listen, and then I write it out. I’m rarely in control. Basically, I’m along for the ride, but it’s a fun ride so why fight it?
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I tend to listen to my characters. The stubborn ones make me fight them, but that usually means it’s a better story.
What advice would you give other writers?
Keep writing. Keep reading.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I self-published these books as an experiment because I’m always looking to try new things. And I suggest authors do just that…try new things.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It’s a weird situation out there right now, but there’s never been a more interesting time to get published. Just be prepared, as always, to work hard.
