What inspires you to write?
I am inspired by those things I feel passionate about and about those things I have struggled with. I write from the heart and draw my content from my training in Hypnotherapy and complementary and alternative techniques. I have a unique blend of skills and talents as a Clinical Hypnotherapist with a master’s degree in psychology health and wellness. The Love Spell is based off my real like experience with past life regression. Writing is my absolute passion and I love writing things that motivate and inspire people to live a better life.
Tell us about your writing process.
My process is very fluid. Sometimes I don’t even know what I am going to write until I sit down and put my fingers on the keyboard. I believe writing is a process guided by the subconscious mind. I do a lot of personal development work such as brainwave entrainment, meditation, mantras and visualization and I believe this is what continues to feed my desire to write.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters are quite real to me, drawn from people I know in real life. I like to calm and quiet my mind and tune into my characters energy – I find this is a great way to see what is on their mind.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write from the heart and from those topics you feel passionate about. Write what you love and write what you care about. In the end, you should only write for yourself, not for an intended audience. Write the words that feed your soul and guide your spirit.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I self-published my first books because I wanted to retain a certain amount of control. I like the Kindle platform because it is user friendly and intuitive.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I believe the future lies in digital publishing. Bookstores are becoming a thing of the past. Personally I love holding a book in my hand and in my office I am surrounded by books. Books are my passion and writing is what feeds my soul.
What genres do you write?
Fiction, self-help and personal development.
What formats are your books in?
eBook, Print
