What inspires you to write?
I was inspired to write by my father. after my father passed away, I got several signs that it was time to share my story to help people.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
I’m a fan of authors and inspirational heroes like Tony Robbins, Joel Olsteen, Jay Shetty and Lewis Howes, and Gary V. And I am blessed to say I am personal friends with four of them.
Tell us about your writing process.
No outline as my book is a memoir. By chance I met a publisher named Anna David, she partnered me with writer Kristen McGuiness and the rest is history. As it turned out, we wrote an international best-seller in four countries, and I am happy it was written and has helped many people.
What advice would you give other writers?
People need to be inspired into action and create change in their life. If you can write and speak your truth to help others? It is and would be the enormous privilege of your life. Writing my book was a healing and literary learning experience.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Anna David of Light Hustler Publishing knew my vision before I even thought it. We would take the world on a journey from the grips of drug addiction and share the beauty of spiritual healing within the written words of recovery. And doing so while working and representing many iconic figures of our time.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it will be bigger than ever and a shift. People need to be motivated and inspired. Even though a pandemic has a negative impact around the world, the positive side is giving readers choices to listen or e-read inspiring books like mine with an uplifting message while reading.
