Imani Osei-Acheampong, born in Long Island, NY (1991). Faith and spirituality influence my creative process when writing children’s books. Encouraging children to be inquisitive when exploring the world around us. I reside in Los Angeles, California as a writer and Podcast Host. I enjoy raising my 7 year old son and writing books that inspire the use of imagination.
What inspires you to write?
Inspiration usually comes while I am cleaning the house. Any type of cleaning helps me get creative. Saying that aloud sounds very unusual.

Marcia T. Jones, Debbie Dadey, Lois Lowry.
Tell us about your writing process.
I love watching life through the eyes of a child. It is one of the most precious feelings I have while writing a book. Nature allows me to remain in the present moment. I get sparks of creativity enjoying the warmth it provides.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Books can be used as a way to inspire kids. The want to uplift woman and children during Covid-19 made me decide to publish my books.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I am enthusiastic about getting into this space. Self publishing continues gain popular vote. There are reliable options for self publishing that helps all inspiring authors publish at an affordable price.
