What inspires you to write?
Life as it was, could have been, or should be.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process generally starts with a "photo" of a scene in my mind. Then I go fill in the backstory to get there, and decide what follows.
I typically hand write in a notebook and then transfer it to my Ipad later.
I am a pantser when it comes to short stories. But I've started a full outline on a novel idea.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I try to think how my characters would act or respond in certain situations and then let them guide me.
One person asked my why I ended a certain story that way. I told them, "You don't understand, I didn't end it that way. That's not how it works."
What advice would you give other writers?
My advice to writers is one thing: write. Don't think about it. research it. Just put the words on the page. The rest will come.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I started querying publishers and grew tired with waiting so I just self published. I am thinking what to do in the next release.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Stories will never go away. No matter what form they are in. And I believe the printed word will always stay, even at a reduced number.
What genres do you write?: True Crime, horror, poetry
What formats are your books in?: eBook, Audiobook
