About Elyse Cunningham:
My name is Elyse Cunningham, I live in Michigan, and writing has always been a passion of mine. I’ve always loved writing since I was a child and I am glad that I can turn that love into something that I can share with others. I do hope you enjoy my works.
What inspires you to write?
Things that inspire me to write is everyday things that happen when I go out on morning walks, ideas from stories that I read, and video games. Also, writing is an escape for me, it is something that I enjoy thoroughly.
Tell us about your writing process.
I’ll create a word document and draft my stories. I’ll just write whatever comes to my head and edit it later.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
When I’m away from my computer I’ll listen to music and interact with my characters this way. I’ll make them say and do things that will sound great in my stories.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just keep on writing and never give up on your dreams. Writing is a great to express yourself.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I went down the self-publishing route because I wanted to try something new and try my hand at it. If anyone is curious as to getting your works out there, I’d try your hand at self-publishing. It is work but for me personally it is rewarding.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think that the future of book publishing could go either way with self-publishing and traditional publishing. Just do your own thing and do what you feel is right.
