What inspires you to write?
For me I find inspiration to write, in everything I do. The way I live. My family. T.V shows. Movies. Books. Music. Talking a walk. Going to the beach. Having coffee at the mall. Iβm surrounded by inspirations everywhere.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
I have a long list of authors, I'll narrow it down, they include famous authors and indie authors π I can't list everyone I've read, but here is a few…
Ken Stark
Andrea Merchak
Gerhard Dennis
Paula Houseman Author
Max Gunssler
Stephen King
Kass Morgan
Joe Hill
Josh Malerman
James Herbert
John Wyndham
Tell us about your writing process.
It really depends on the book. I'm considered both, an outliner and a seat of my pants writer. When I do outline, I use my computer and either write up ideas, character development, location and plots in word.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters don't speak to me as such, but they plague me in my sleep, and during wakeful times throughout the day.
What advice would you give other writers?
My biggest advice to all authors, new and old, is to get a really good editor, then another editor and then at least three beta readers. Also without a doubt, you must do your research.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I was impatient, so I went indie, then I wanted to see what it was like to be traditionally published, so I got published. Albeit wasn't with a top five publisher, but it gave me an experience that I wasn't favoring. I'm happy being an indie author. Though I'm of course happy to be both. My advice to new authors is to do both if you can. That way you'll know which is a better fit for you.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I honestly don't have an answer to this question. I feel that books will never die, so, on that basis, publishing will live on forever. At least that is my hope. Who knows what the future holds? I know I don't.
What genres do you write?: Horror, thriller, Psychological thriller
