ELISA DANE is a self-proclaimed book junkie. A lover of handbags, chocolate, and reality television, she’s a proud mother to three All- Star cheerleaders. What inspires you to write?
My girls! My babies have participated in All-Star Cheer for the past nine years, and I’m in awe of what they and their teammates do. They’re amazing athletes, and inspire me daily 🙂
Tell us about your writing process.
I’m a panster all the way! I generally know a few key points that need to happen in my story, and from there I just dive in. The writing process is as much of a journey for me as it is for the reader!
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Bahahaha! I listen to them for sure! My characters and I really enjoy music. I usually write to a playlist, which helps my muse.
What advice would you give other writers?
Keep on keeping on! Write a little every day and stay with it. Oh! And get yourself some honest critique partners 🙂
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I went about things the old fashioned way and got myself an agent. She’s fabulous and submits my work to different editors etc.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think there is room for everyone in the pool! The most important thing is to write a good book.
