About Eeva Lancaster:
Eeva Lancaster is a Freelance Writer, Editor, Author and Book Designer. She’s a book lover in every sense of the word. Her love affair with books started at a very young age, and it’s no surprise that her career now is centered on writing and Books.
Prior to her writing career, she was a C Level Executive Assistant for 6 years. It was only this year that she decided to freelance and write full time.
When she’s not busy writing or helping authors create and market beautiful books, Eeva loves to snorkel and laze by the beach, or go on road trips with her husband. But she can be perfectly happy staying at home with a good book or spending days on TV series marathons.
For now, most of her books are in the Non-Fiction genre. Writing is her way of conversing with her readers… sharing life experiences and points of view. With an opinionated voice and a restless inquisitive mind, you can expect many books from Eeva in the years to come.
What inspires you to write?
I believe that we have stories to tell that could help someone in their own personal journey. My life hasn’t been easy, but I’m still here kicking and fighting. Challenges have a way of showing us things we wouldn’t see otherwise. And I share these realizations in my books.
Tell us about your writing process.
I’m a “by the seat of my pants” kind of writer. A book brews in my head for a while, and then I’ll just sit down one day and write continuously until I finish it. As a freelance writer, I’m used to writing this way.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Before I published my own books, I was a ghostwriter. I didn’t even know about self publishing prior to that. After I wrote several eBooks, I got curious and learned as much as I can about the Indie industry. The rest is history. 🙂 I created Eeva Lancaster.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It depends on how the big online publishers handle the books uploaded on their sites. It’s a great time for writers. It’s easy to get your work published. But there’s a dark side to that too. Anyone can now publish anything and no one’s checking. The result is that Amazon and other online bookstores are flooded with unedited and unformatted books. Business people are flooding Amazon with sub par books on the latest trending topic. That’s bad for the serious writers and readers. Hopefully, Amazon and the rest finds a way to filter the books on their catalogues. Removing those that are not publish ready.
