Author Bio:
My philosophy is simple: Want something? Then get it. This entails going out to get it, as well as going INWARD to attract it.
I keep my books short and hyper-focused. I believe that a book should be easy-to-read without soaking up more than a few hours of your time.
It’s been my life goal to begin to help people manifest the lives they want; and, after many arduous years, I can say that I’m finally living my dream!
Thanks to everyone who helped inspire me to become the person I am today: Mom, Dad (Rest in Peace), Uncle Joe, Mr. Cole, Wayne, Carla, Alexis, and God! You all rock and I will never let you down!!
Cheers, everyone.
What inspires you to write?
God inspires every book I write.
I usually am woken up at about 3-4 in the morning with an idea or a book title running through my head and I can’t go back to sleep until I write it down or email it to myself.
Tell us about your writing process.
I get a flash of insight and I start writing right away or the next morning. I usually start by just typing stream-of-consciousness style and as I see it developing, I then use my brain to fine-tune the message and include all the information that I feel is relevant.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I am a non-fiction writer and I talk to myself.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write what you love and what you’re passionate about but don’t forego your marketing efforts. Sharpen your ability to earn people’s attention and influence them to buy your book. But always stay true to your message.
Have goals.
Visualize your goals.
Have milestones.
Reward yourself when you hit a milestone.
Keep writing and NEVER give up.
Don’t listen to nay-sayers.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I wrote a book and tossed it up on Kindle for the fun of it. It ended up selling like $50/month and I realized that if I can make even just $1 dollar, then I could make thousands. So I stuck with it and ended up publishing book after book.
Kindle is a great platform because there’s tons of traffic available.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Traditional publishers are slowing going to get the boot. People are waking up and realizing how much power they have in today’s world.
In the future, people will have even more resources available to them to get their message out in the form of written (typed) word.
What genres do you write?
Self-Help, Self-Esteem, Motivational, Inspirational, New Thought
What formats are your books in?
eBook, Print, Both eBook and Print
