What inspires you to write?
The inspiration that comes to me from life and all its dimensions.
Tell us about your writing process.
I write regularly and whereas some stories have demanded a certain amount of plotting out, others have evolved as I have written them. I write in Word and my character sketches develop somewhere inside me, and I only make notes to remind myself of those discoveries.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I listen to my characters — that is how I experience it when I write. I can feel like a stenographer or reporter often, and they talk faster than I can type.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write a story you would like to read.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I am self published mostly because I could write the stories I wanted to write without having to hear from an agent or publisher as to what I should write to sell more books.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Clearly, with all the new devices, a digital world is emerging, and whereas readers heretofore have enjoyed turning the pages of actual books (me, included), the coming generations are just as happy ‘swiping’ a digital screen to turn the page.
What genres do you write?: Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Romance, literary
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
