Cherry is a city girl who’s both naughty and nice. She loves to go to clubs, considers herself a sexpert, and may have shared her talents with several A list actors…she’ll never tell. You’ll never catch her without her thigh-high leather-heeled boots and a tube of maraschino red lipstick. She loves writing sexy stories that push limits and stroke taboos.
What inspires you to write?
Listen, Cherry Black writes for fun! She’s inspired by what she learns in every new book. Writing allows her to experiment and try on new hats. Cherry loves hats!
Tell us about your writing process.
Strictly a pantser, but the covers are great inspiration as to mood and alpha heroes. Those tend to come first, before a word is written on the page. And coffee. Lots of that.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Sometimes characters won’t shut up!
What advice would you give other writers?
Read. A lot. Let your imagination run wild. It might take you places that you never expected!
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Writing a bunch of different serials at the same time? Traditional publishers would never put up with that, so self-publishing was the way to go, and I’ve never looked back.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It’s a rough and tumble world, but readers are the best. They will save or sink this industry. Kiss a reader today!
