BB Clifford is a queer author based in northern New Jersey.
BB Clifford has written the Tangled Knot trilogy:

Rainbow Warrior, an eco horror, is available now.

BB Clifford is greatly influenced by Shirley Jackson, Alison Rumfitt, and Thomas Harris.
What inspires you to write?
Hard-hitting, knuckle-tearing reality. How we help and harm each other, how we desire and destroy each other. All of this fascinates me.

Shirley Jackson, Alison Rumfitt, Eliza Clark, and Thomas Harris.
Tell us about your writing process.
As soon as the run rises, you will find me pacing about in front of my standup desk, and hammering out things that I want to say, things I have witnessed, and questions left unanswered.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Absolutely. I get quite attached to them, so if I need to kill one of them off, it can be quite a distressing process.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just write and keep writing. Don't worry about the last book, think about the present and next book. It is an unfolding process, and you should enjoy it.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I wanted control over the process. I don't like answering to people!
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I have hope in the future because, despite the dark content of my books, I have hope in humanity.
