About Aswathy Vadakel:
I am an Educator,Painter and now an Author.After a six years of teaching career(In India and abroad),I have penned my first book -“Mon Amour”(A Collection of Romantic Poems) in 2020.I was born in Kerala,India and attended high school in Kerala.I have earned my degrees in Travel and Tourism Studies, PGDC, Diplomas and Certificates in Education too.Currently I am living with my father,mother, brother and my pet dog in Kerala.I was a University Topper in Tourism Studies and I was appreciated for my volunteering work with UN and Government of India by UN, Government of India and Government of Andra Pradesh.Right now,I am an active volunteer of TGF India(www.tgfindia) founded by Afsal Ahammed(Instagram:captainafsalahammed).So far,I have published one book “Mon Amour”(A Collection of Romantic Poems).One novel titled “Yasin Mubarak” and an Academic(Early Childhood Education) book’s writing is in progress.And,I love to dance.
What inspires you to write?
I get inspiration from different people,places, incidents,etc to write.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
Vaikom Muhammad Basheer (Malayalam Author),William Shakespeare and J.K Rowling.
Tell us about your writing process.
Normally I write in the day time,7am-9.30am.I don't prefer to write at night.While writing,I hear my favorite songs and I Create character sketches before and during my writing.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write whatever you feel to write.Get
in connect with other Writers.There are going to be many ups and downs in your journey.But,never-ever give up.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Well,I prefer both – self publishing and traditional publishing.As a budding author,to know the response of my readers I preferred Self Publishing for my first book.My next book will go for traditional publishing.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
The future of book publishing will be very bright.Because,we are living in the digital world,where an author from any corner can reach any publisher in the world.There will not be any restriction or barrier for publishing a book in future.
What genres do you write?: Poetry, Contemporary Romance and Academic Books.
