About Anika Goyal:
Anika Goyal is a writer and author, and has written many short stories in the past, and is currently working on her new book which is going to be a 60,000 word novel.
She hosts a podcast show where she uses her writing and reading skills and shares it with people all over the world.
When Anika is not writing, she is reading, or watching TV.
And, Anika Goyal has also won many awards in writing competitions.
What inspires you to write?
I was inspired to write the day she read the Harry Potter series, she noticed how J.K. Rowling struggled, and decided that she too wanted to give a try at writing and that is when her writing journey started.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
I read Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Megan Abbott, etc.
Tell us about your writing process.
Anika Goyal's writing process is like this:
First I brainstorm ideas
Then, I outline her novel
I use Google Docs to outline
And, I also visualize my characters in her mind, or sometime sketches them out.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I listen to my character's voice, and allows them to lead the way throughout the whole writing process.
What advice would you give other writers?
The advice I would give is to always keep faith in yourselves and don't give up.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to traditionally publish my first e-book, as it got into many online bookstores, for all the new authors I would suggest taking the traditional route, as it is easier to get more readers.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think the future of book publishing is great, as many people have creative minds, and most probably might think of publishing in 2021.
What genres do you write?: Mystery, Short Stories, Fantasy, Fiction, Poetry, Realistic Fiction, etc.
