About Andrew Mills:
My name is Andrew. For years, I have been captivated by the topic of physical and mental health. I am constantly researching and educating myself on how I can improve my body and mind in the most efficient way possible.
Alongside my passion for health, I have been a writer for multiple years. For me, writing is the perfect outlet to be able to share and inspire my knowledge with others. I love Amazon because it allows myself as an author to be able to reach people just like you and make a difference!
Most of my books are concerned around the topic of dieting and health. This is a topic of particular interest for me, because it was the gateway for myself to transform my life and health. Dieting has gotten a bad rap due to numerous fads and trends that have been presented to the market. In response to this, I am dedicated to delivering high quality, simple, and effective content to my customers that works.
What inspires you to write?
One of my biggest inspirations is the health & nutrition community. There seems to be a lot of confusion and doubt surrounding the topic of health–weight loss in particular.
I make it my mission to educate others on diets that I believe are effective and sustainable over the course of long periods of time.
Tell us about your writing process.
For myself as a non-fiction writer, the writing process begins by creating a book outline that I have created for myself. The outline consists of:
– What is the overall goal of my book
– Who is the target audience
– What value do I want the audience to receive from the book
Since my books are about dieting, I usually stick to a formula when I am writing that resembles something like this:
– What is the diet?
– How does it work?
– Misconceptions
– Foods to avoid
– Foods to eat
– Recipes for the reader to make
– A call to action for the reader to be successful with the diet
– Mindset tips for success
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
N/A
What advice would you give other writers?
Stop worrying so much about what other people will think about your work. Your book will never be perfect. The most important thing is that you just begin to write and do your best. Put your stuff out there!
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I always wanted to publish my own book but I faced multiple challenges with the more traditional methods of publication. Self publication offered me the opportunity to be in the driver seat and get my content out there affordably!
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I believe that the future of book publishing is leaning more and more into the digital realm. Readers are looking for quick and specific content that they can access instantly from there devices.
