About Ana Evans:
I just love telling stories of all kinds: fantasy and sci-fi, fun and sad, bad or good… They are all different, like we, humans, are. The stories I write live their own lives. The characters do what they want; not what I tell them to do. The plot changes on its way. It’s life: weird, changing, full of surprises. And I love creating these lives.
What inspires you to write?
Music, books, games, movies, and dreams. Music and dreams are my favorite sources of plots, characters and ideas.
Tell us about your writing process.
When I write fiction, I love listening to music: it creates atmosphere. I write a lot when I sit down, but it takes a lot of time and effort to actually start. I create the plot in my head first, and then I do character sketches and start to write.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I don’t interact. They just do what they want to do. I can’t make them do what they don’t want to do. So I let them live and develop the way they wish. I have a certain direction in my mind, but it may change as I see the character was right, having told me to follow his/her suggestions.
What advice would you give other writers?
You should write every day, just a few paragraphs, but every day. It’s an exercise to be fit.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I saw a lot of self-published authrs on Amazon.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
There will be much more ebooks, I believe.
