About Alina Kryvenets:
Hi! My name is Alina, I was born and live in Ukraine (Kyiv city). I like to write the truth: about real feelings, real emotions and true love. I'm the author of three books and a marketer. Last year, I posted my first novel on Amazon. Now on Amazon posted my new psychological novel "The 2 Richards". One of the readers wrote me once that she had never read novels, but the novel of mine she read until the morning. And that's the best the book's author can hear.
What inspires you to write?
I am inspired by loved ones, the sun and chocolate, of course (laughs).
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
I like books by Donna Tartt and Ayn Rand.
Tell us about your writing process.
It was on 27 December 2018 I had only just finished work on my first novel. I opened my notebook,
created a Word document under the name “27 December,” and began to type. If you think an idea
comes to me straight away and then I just sit down and start writing, that’s not true. When I sit down
with my notebook, I almost never know what I am going to be writing about. I just sit down and start to
write. It’s complicated for me to explain even how the thoughts come to me. It’s something mystical
probably. Then I started to write a novel about a girl called Amy. She is 32 years old. She is successful,
beautiful, and divorced. Her whole life though – is work. And her dream – is to find herself a man, and
sort things out within herself for good. When you read the novel, you will understand what happens to
Amy in the end. The novel follows the life of the principal heroine over the course of six months, leading
to the conclusion on a wonderful Christmas Eve.
What advice would you give other writers?
Look for inspiration in the details! In a smile, a pleasant conversation, a funny pets, and chocolate of course (laughs).
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Writing books – is my whole life’s work. Yes, I love marketing, because in Ukraine I work as a marketer, but creativity – that’s what
energizes me and gives me the impetus every day to get better at it than I was the day before.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I see many talented writers today. I believe, that there will be more inspiring and wonderful books every year.
