About Airplane Jane:
Jane Gallina AKA "Airplane Jane" started her career in February 2015 and has taken the day trading community by storm. As a loving wife and mother of two, Jane was seeking control of her financial future while remaining present for her young daughters. As a day trader, Jane has been able to accomplish that dream; quickly becoming one of the most successful female day traders under mentor Timothy Sykes. Through her blog, YouTube videos, and seminars Jane hopes to inspire and empower more individuals to break out of their comfort zone and try day trading.
What inspires you to write?
Writing for me is a continuation of sharing in my trading journey. I was looking for the book that I created because I wanted to learn about other women in the trading world. It did not exist so I wrote it to help others learn in their search for knowledge. I never thought I would author a book it organically happened and an amazing book was created in the process.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process consisted of my interviewing other successful traders to share their trading biographies. I then transcribed and edited those interviews for something tangible to help others.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just start and work at it every day. It takes more energy than I expected, but it is all worth it in the end.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I spoke to another author who had written a similar book and picked his brain. I did a bunch of research while having insomnia 9 months pregnant and discovered Tellwell.ca to help me self publish. I loved the personal service as it is a small company. You are a priority to them as opposed to a larger company.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think there will be many more indie books because authors want to go ahead and publish and not wait for their manuscript to be picked up by a publishing house. So more ebooks and fewer tangible paperback and hardback books.
