About A.L.Long:
After many years spent in the financial industry, I decide that I wanted a change. For that reason, I decided to do something that I have always wanted to do, but never thought I could. Write. I began writing in 2014 and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I hope that you will enjoy all of my books as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
I love romance and you will see that as you begin reading my books. Another thing I enjoy as much as writing are long walks and sipping wine under the stars.
What inspires you to write?
I have always enjoyed writing since I was a little girl. I use to write down all of my thoughts in a little note book. I think the joy of reading has inspired me the most to become a writer myself.
Tell us about your writing process.
Before I begin writing, I always map out what I wish to write about. Then my thoughts are separated and the chapters come to life.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I try to put myself in my characters position. The feelings I have for each of my characters comes from a part of what I feel.
What advice would you give other writers?
Never quit writing. Even if you get frustrated and want to quit, don’t. There are readers out there that are dying to read your work.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Through trial and error. Publishing a book is not an easy feat. I think the best decision I made was to become a self-published author. It gives me more control over what happens to my books
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it is swaying more and more towards self publishing. Too many writers are out there that are getting unnoticed.
