P.F. Shaggy was inspired to write Happy Right Here thanks to the many creative stories he and his daughter shared with each other. The imagination of child inspires us to have fun, and to write even more magically.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Miguel, the main character in Happy Right Here, was created based on the characteristics of children ages 3-6. These children express themselves honestly and enthusiastically. They have a need for fun, independence, and imagination. Miguel’s parents were written to be proud and supportive. They want to support Miguel as he grows and learns his life lessons.
About the Author:
From aerospace engineering to retail, international travel, 17+ years in advertising, and fabulous fatherhood, P.F. Shaggy has lived in many amazing worlds where great writing is indispensable.
Today, P.F. Shaggy is a published children’s book author who is especially thankful to combine his love for children and writing. He lives with his sparkly-fun daughter in Southern California, where they tell each other marvelous stories in bed, giggle endlessly, and stay up way too late.
