Jared Anderson can’t seem to escape the death of his little brother. Every mistake Jared makes is one his brother, Bryce, never had the chance to. And in a family plagued with resentments and unspoken words … the pain is getting too much to bear.
Sometimes it was just easier to feel nothing.
Trying to dull his feelings, Jared turns to alcohol and so-called friends, but learns that popularity comes with a price. Caught in a personal war, Jared knows that something must change before he loses himself forever. However, reinventing what was left of him seems like an impossible task.
With the sudden appearance of an unwelcome stranger, Jared begins to wonder if the very person he is running from is the only one who can save him.
A story of change, hope, and the healing powers of a family’s forgiveness and love.
Targeted Age Group:
Young Adult
Writing for young adults is the most rewarding thing. My characters get to help shape these young people into who they want to be and how they want to live their lives.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Never give up! Always have a dream and keep on working hard, especially when all you want to do is give up. It is when you find the strength to keep trying that miracles happen.
Author Bio:
JAMIE LYNN YEAGER has always had a passion for writing and dreamed of writing novels from the time she was twelve years old. Besides devoting most of her time chasing her children around, Jamie uses her Interior Design background in helping with her family’s wedding decorating business. Being a wife and mother of four can be very demanding, but she will always find time for soccer, reading, chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream, and Pinterest.
I have always wanted to write novels since a very young age, but it wasn’t until the death of my second son that I threw my whole heart into writing. I wanted to write this book for my remaining children who were too young to understand what happened and how their lives may be effected by his death in the future. I also wanted to write a book that would inspire young people to be be better and make positive changes in their lives.
