What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Glacier was inspired by the idea of following a talent or passion. You have to risk and sacrifice a lot. Often times you ask yourself whether or not it is worth the effort. This is a major theme we see throughout Glacier as Carly's father reminds her that it isn't smart to put her talents into music when it may not get her a job.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I wanted Carly to be a unique and strong female protagonist. Her Spanish heritage makes her different from most and her passion for music makes her both determined and confident.
