Power comes with responsibility and despite declaring, to those closest to her, that she will take her position as Queen, Regan’s first priority is not to rule, but to find her parents. With Jake at her side, she is determined to learn how to use her new powers and hide from her destiny, as well as the Council, a little while longer.
Unfortunately, someone has been watching and reporting every move Regan makes. She is disheartened when she finds that the Council is not only eagerly awaiting her arrival in Ireland, but have apparently started to plan her future, one that does not include Jake.
Regan must decide just how much she is willing to sacrifice to lead and protect her people from a vengeful goddess, while also determining who the traitor is amongst them. With what feels like the weight of the world on her shoulders, will Regan withstand losing any of them?

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I love to bring a sarcastic touch to my characters. In my first book, “Gift of Sight”, it was the main character, Regan. She was simply a smartass. As the trilogy moves along you’ll see that she begins to lose that touch, just a bit, because she is realizing the seriousness of her situation, as well as the need to be more regal. Since Regan isn’t the one who can offer those wonderful quips that everyone is looking for, I tagged two of her sub-characters to take on that role, Piper and Maggie. I believe it also helps readers to become attached to more than just the main character.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Editing…a lesson I learned first-hand. When I finished my first book I was so excited. I had a few people that helped me go through the book to see if they found any errors, and when they didn’t, I self-published. Within a week I was not a happy camper. I found errors. No matter how many times, you as the writer, or the people you ask to look over the book, go through it…if they are not professional editors, they will not catch what others will. Despite the cost, it was well worth it. I quickly pulled my original version and resubmitted the professionally edited one.
An editor will always review my books before I publish.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Excitement.
I work behind a desk forty+ hours a week and I’m past the point of parties and clubs. Although my five year old makes me laugh like no other, there are only so many games of go fish and shows that I can watch where we are answering questions asked by a fish or a dog.
I seek excitement, a challenge against the mundane, and sitting at my computer and letting my mind just go nuts is where I’m finding it.
About the Author:
I was born and raised in New Jersey, but have found myself a new, calmer life in Florida. With a B.S in Criminology from FSU, and a military deployment behind me, I’m now working full time and raising a family. Whenever I can sneak away from those responsibilities, I’m writing and I’m loving it.
The “Gifted” Trilogy is my introduction into the writing world. “Gift of Sight”, “Gift of Power”, and “Gift of Prohecy” are all available.
