What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
For years I’ve been freezing food so I wanted to create a cookbook that truly explains all the benefits of using your freezer and what it can do in your home kitchen.
A lot of my friends are working moms or busy moms and I noticed that they were struggling to get a healthy, homemade dinner on the table every night so I wanted to share what I knew. By buying a lot of my food in bulk and freezing it either as a raw ingredient or as a meal, I’m able to save time and money, and produce some delicious meals.
This cookbook was really a family affair because my mother provided me with a lot of the ones I grew up eating and love.
About the Author:
As Krista says, “When I cook I can’t help myself I cheat all the time. I cheat to save time. I cheat to save money. I cheat to maximize the flavor.”
Krista’s cheats are the shortcuts she has learned to help get a meal on the table.
Krista started cooking at a young age by “helping” her mom in the kitchen. She recalls many disasters and the patience and skill her mom deployed to rescue her attempts. She continued to learn by trial and error after she left home and as she become more proficient at cooking she continued to expand her knowledge and efficiency in the kitchen.
