Airline pilot Trevor West survived a plane crash. That one death-defying moment sets off an avalanche of life-altering events. He unexpectedly becomes a single dad and leaves the airline. Needing a fresh start, he heads to Evergreen, a sleepy Connecticut town. But finding a suitable home proves impossible. He temporarily rents an apartment on the grounds of a Victorian mansion. The introverted owner, Prudence, piques his interest, especially when she bonds with his five-year-old daughter. As the holiday season approaches, he helps decorate the grand house for the annual Holiday Home Tour. But despite their growing, mutual attraction, Pru seems to avoid the mistletoe—at all costs.
Prudence Nightingale has a secret. The locals have kept it hush-hush. Writing under a pen name has kept this best-selling novelist out of the spotlight. Helping a friend, she begrudgingly rents the apartment over the garage to strangers. Pru plans to avoid this handsome newcomer and his inquisitive daughter, eager to finish her latest book. But her plans evaporate when her meddling sister enlists their help in decorating the stately home for the tour. The little girl brings Christmas alive, but with a deadline looming, she cannot spare time to get involved. And a distraction, such as the extraordinary Trevor West, is the last thing she needs.
This heartwarming, small town romance is packed with Christmas chaos and cheer. Can they find love or will they go their separate ways as the holiday lights burn out?

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My inspiration for the whole Landing in Love series stems from my earlier years as a flight attendant working for US Airways, and also nowadays, as a semi-avid traveler. The general idea of the series is the protagonist is associated in some way with aviation (flight attendants, helicopter pilots, floatplane pilots, etc.) who all find love in various small, New England towns. I thought it would be fun to create a sub-series based around the Christmas Holiday featuring three sibling and their love interests. Each of the Landing in Love stories are stand-alones.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
For this story, Prudence Nightingale had to be an introverted writer, but I didn’t want this holiday novel too cutesy so I made her a horror writer to add spice. I wanted her love interest, Trevor West, to have a daughter Pru could relate to. So this single dad’s little girl loves scary things, like bats, for instance. I’m happy with how they become connected and how their relationship grows.

“Well hellooo, handsome,” she mumbled low and sultry when she took a long, good look at his face. After two trips up and down the flight of steps, he emerged, wearing only a thin Henley, jacket having been left upstairs.
She turned off the stove, feeling too warm for tea, thinking some ice water would be more thirst quenching. Her gaze roamed his impressive brawny shoulders and muscled back, remarkably obvious under the thin shirt.
Casper, her slinky white cat, head-butted her leg.
She gently nudged him away without breaking her laser focus on Mr. West’s well-proportioned behind. She stared wistfully at the bent man, showcasing his impressive backside. He’d have no trouble finding a date, probably already had a girlfriend.
“Meow!” Casper swished his tail in annoyance.
“Shh!” She scooped him up, if only to keep him quite, though she suddenly felt a bit foolish for ogling her tenant. Still, she watched until the show was over, and he clicked a button to lock his car.
