What influenced you to create a video book trailer?
I believe it’s a means to share the vision about your book with readers. It can be another promotional tool in your arsenal but is more about rousing interest in fans than selling the book.
What was your experience with creating your trailer?
I used Windows Movie Maker and had done these before, so it was a familiar process but time-consuming.
What advice would you give to an author considering getting a video trailer created?
If you wish to do it yourself, first write the text. Then search the royalty free sites for images to match each line of text. Sign in to Windows Movie Maker and start a new project. Then you insert the images and add the text as captions.This is for a slide-show type of trailer, but you can add animations and transitions. I put in the music last. Then I save it as an HD file.
