In ENTRUSTED, Jenna Anderson leaves her Ohio hometown for the unknown in Speculator Falls. She’s determined to make her new job as senior center work and become one of the locals.
Ben Regan’s family is the backbone of Speculator Falls and he’s made a vow to protect the rural village. When his grandfather passes away and his former girlfriend leaves without even saying goodbye, Ben’s determined to prevent further transition in his life.
But Jenna produces a lot of change for Ben in a book about surrendering the present fears we have about change and wanting to belong.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I first visited the Adirondack Mountains in 1994 and fell in love with the small village of Speculator. I started to envision the characters that first visit, and each return trip, I kept picturing their story. I wrote a rough draft without any real training. Years later, I decided to take writing seriously, so I took courses and worked on the craft. By 2010, I entered the NaNoWriMo event with a fleshed out idea for Entrusted. I "won" with over 50k words, revised and revised with the help of critique groups, and the rest is history.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I compiled many of them from people I knew and loved from my years having an office in the senior center. Jenna, the heroine, is a lot like me, but not completely. Ben, the hero, is a figment of my imagination.
