Drowning the Silence is a story about breaking up and bouncing back.
Every break up has a soundtrack – bits of songs, snippets of arguments, lines from movies, that voice in your head, and all sorts of other sounds. In Dan’s case, the soundtrack features Johnny Mathis, advice from family and friends and – underneath it all, The Silence

What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Just start writing. Everything else can be worked out as you go. And write for yourself, not for others. If you write for someone else, you end up second guessing yourself into writer’s block.
Author Bio:
Dan Geoghan used to wonder if he’d ever figure women out. He also used to live in Sussex. He then got married, had kids, and moved to Oxfordshire. He can be found on Twitter and elsewhere talking about watches, rugby and food. He’s still wondering if he’ll ever figure out women.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
It started out as a way to get through a really difficult break up. I’d been through them before – but for some reason, in this case, I needed another outlet. It became a way – in itself to fill the Silence I describe in the book
