Writing is writing across the board. A writer must sit down and actually write to get experience and results. Saying that, writing romance is slightly different because, although you’ll obviously have a plot running throughout, your main job as an author is to torture the characters and allow them to fall in love–all in front of the readers! Without a compelling love story, your plot will fall short.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Write. And get into the habit of doing so every day (or every working day if you’ve created a workable schedule). Treat it as you would your job because you will get results if you’re consistent. Oh and read. Don’t forget that!
