They have travelled thousands of miles, you see,
To end up in Bermuda, here with me.
Would you believe they are friendly and sweet?
Each day, same time, they come over to eat!
How is it something so wild and so free,
Always comes back here to little old me?

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Our latest book is called, Daphne & Gerhard. Even though it is the second book in the series, it is the story that inspired it all! Before the kids were born, there were two ducks that showed up at my house one day, and every day after that. For weeks, these two ducks would come for dinner. The seasons would change and they would be gone again but, without fail, return the year after. The ducks became so attached to me that they would follow me all over Bermuda. There were a few times when they even flew next to me as I rode my motorcycle to work, or even showed up at sea when I was out in the boat. My mother and grandmother always encouraged me to write a book about my ducks.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
There were two ducks that showed up at my house one day, and every day after that. For weeks, these two ducks would come for dinner. The seasons would change and they would be gone again but, without fail, return the year after.

Day after day, the ducks came for dinner.
Slowly but surely got much less thinner.
Week after week, as the little ducks grew,
They became part of the family too.
Daphne and Gerhard went where the kids went.
With Dom and Ava, their summer was spent.
Out to the beach, the ducks showed up there too.
Riding their bikes, not far behind they flew!
