Comments about cover design
The story takes place mostly in a desert region. A friend of mine (“Adam K”) had recently come back from a long vacation that included the Sahara, and one of his photos is a major part of that many desert pictures I used to create this background. The ruins below, and the block that Cassidy is sitting on represent the ruin-littered area she’s posted at.
Cassidy herself is one of my anime drawings, but with the colour removed. If she looks mopey, that’s because she has reasons to be. While the book isn’t all gloom, it’s not a happy, shiny story overall. That being said, it’s my favourite book of the Lifehack series. That’s a whole big story unto itself.
