Just looking at this cover makes you want to open the book and see what is inside. The imagery is intriguing and mysterious. I love the Renaissance feel and history embedded in the artwork and sets the stage for a fascinating read!
Simply STUNNING imagery. A beauty in design captivates your interest into seeing what lies with in it. Like a rose not quite open. It has so many “petal layers” of what is being seen and unseen in the art work.

As well as the image itself, I so like the tones and shading of this cover. There is a gentleness to it that draws me in.

In Lloyd’s case, however, ,it’s perfectly fine to judge by the cover. I always look forward to the cover of his books just as eagerly as the words inside.
