I always knew that I wanted the image of Es Vedra, a mystical, magical island off the coast of Ibiza, in Spain, said to be the island of the sirens from the legend of Ulysses, to be incorporated on the cover. My daughter was also named after that island. But my memoir is not just about a spiritual life journey, but also a culinary adventure. Shawn “Blue” Bayer came up with several gorgeous covers but when I saw this one, I was brought to tears. We decided to add the wonderful quote from Quincy Jones in an interesting way.
