I wanted a similar look to the first novel in the series while at the same time incorporating an allusion to travel and places my main characters travel to. One of the requirements I had was that I didn’t want the full face of the woman on the cover to be seen. I want the reader to have an idea of who the character is, the time period due to the clothes and the type of travel, but for the reader to be able to form their own image of what she looks like. I worked closely with my cover designer, Derek Murphy, and we went back and forth with numerous covers until the perfect one was made.
