When trying to determine the design of my book cover, I knew I wanted something that conveyed the majesty of the world along with a person seeking understanding of that majesty. I had a photograph of my son in the Pacific Ocean at sunset from La Jolla Beach in California. I thought it would make a perfect cover in that my son is reaching out with his arms while looking toward a dramatic cloud filled golden sunset. A bird with its wings outstretched is passing overhead. I then embellished this photo with my name and the book title at the appropriate places using an eye-catching font. Voila. My book cover.
