What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired to write a book dedicated to Father’s Day because I sold a number of Cards & Toasts for Almost All Occasions and The Big Book of Cards for Almost All Occasions right before Mother’s Day. While these books do contain Father’s Day messages I thought that people deserved a richer choice, so I wrote Cards & Toasts for Father’s Day.

Dear Dad,
I guess that it’s kind of sad
And wrong
That all year long
I seem to forget to convey
The way
That you really are important to me every day.
So today, at least, I want to say,
“Thank you for all that you do for me every day.”

It really is absurd
How much time, money, and energy on me you conferred.
You invested so much in me
When you could have been free.
So today,
I want to say,
“Thanks for all that you have done.
You really are number one!”

It is true
That you deserve thanks for all that you do.
So today
Is set aside for children to convey
A proper thank you for the love and help given all year.
But to us it is crystal clear
That there is not enough that we can say
To repay
All that you have done:
Giving advice, believing in us, and just hanging out for fun.
You have been a great support
And a good sport.
So, here is a little token
For all the thanks and love that we have not spoken.
