What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My inspiration came from an afternoon from my childhood. The park and museum in the book are real places that I spent time at growing up. The small town I was born and raised in was small. No movie theaters, no bowling, no malls, etc., so we had to find things to entertain us. I literally woke up one morning remembering a day I'd spent in the park with three close friends and thought to myself, "There's a story in this."
Book two will be releasing on June 25, 2020 and there may be a book three in the future.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Since this book is based on a real day with real people, the characters were a no brainer. The main female in the story is meant to be me and the other, aka the best friend, was also my real best friend growing up. The two heros in the series are real people as well that we shared that day in the park with. I must add that this book and the characters' personalities are all entirely fiction. The two males are not bisexual and the female did not suffer with depression. She is very well alive and happy. Sadly, one of the heros lost his life at 16 years old, but the other is healthy and happily married.
