How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
Gritty, violent, a great deal of research. Mostly, I like to factor in darker heroes; those that are a bit less heroic than you would normally expect, and then I like mix in a theme of redemption. Goody goody nice guy heroes with square jaws that always do the right thing bore me to tears.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Read and write every day. However good you think your current work is, it’s probably not good enough. But you can always get better.
