How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I get to make things up that scare people, I love grabbing a readers attention and making them feel something whether it’s sadness, anger or fright.

Author Bio:
Hi everyone my name is Micah Ackerman I am a Horror and Science Fiction author from Connecticut. My first Novel is coming out in May (2014) and I have two short stories available for download on Amazon. I have worked in the medical field for the past 8 years so if I’m describing blood and guts and gore chances are I have seen some of it in real life. Most of my writing is based on real life, I like putting an average person into extraordinary circumstances.
Below are some of my previous releases.
The first story is FREE today only and is about a 12 year old boy who doesn’t believe in a local Urban Legend until he becomes a victim. Its called “The Man with the White Face.” http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IQCYU46
The second story is 99cents and is about a fisherman who finds a gory way to improve his catch and overall business. The story is called “Bait” and it’s ranked #71 on the Amazon best-seller list for short horror stories.
Both of these stories are good ways to get acquainted with my writing style in advance of the upcoming novel “Wormwood” which is about a full scale nuclear war and one man’s plight to save his rural Connecticut home town.
Thanks
Micah Ackerman
I used to work as a part time lobsterman and I had a lot of insight into what things look like and feel like on the water. I combined that with my love of horror stories.
