What Inspired You to Write History Books?
I have been interested in history since I was a child. Learning about aspect of our country and world that had happened decades or centuries earlier but still had relevance to my life and to the lives of those around me was a constant source of fascination. My love of history grew through college and graduate school and I decide to pursue my interest in writing about history.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Keep writing and keep telling your story.
Writing About US History Must Be Difficult, How Do You Do Your Reseach?
It took me many years to do the research. Having historians and other experts to talk to was helpful. Time was key and patience was imperative.
