What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
It was inspired by my preschool-age daughter. She was getting bored with the typical alphabet books… and me too! 🙂
About the Author:
Vick decided to write his first children’s book (A New Take on ABCs – S is for Smiling Sunrise), when he sensed that she was getting bored with her alphabet books, and was ready to learn some new words and concepts. Generally of a somewhat quiet and reserved nature, he managed to surprise himself and his family by coming up with a collection of fun yet meaningful rhymes, and then again when he tweaked the verses for singing, much to his child’s delight. Although he had never before considered writing a children’s book, he started having so much fun teaching the rhymes to his daughter that he had the urge to share with others.
Vick has a scientist background in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. He lives with his family in Southern California, and is now dreaming up his next children’s book.
