What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I enjoy reading about shapeshifters and strong alpha heroes. I wanted to create my own. Also, I love how the curvy, BBW is being celebrated in romance novels. The heroines in my stories are curvy, smart, love life, and come from a variety of different cultures.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I’ve always been fascinated by dragons and other shifters. I’m a big Lord of the Rings fan, so the obsession may have started there. My dragon shifters Drayce and Reid in My Tahitian Dragon and The Dragon’s Unlikely Mate, respectively, came from my love of fantasy. As for Kai, the angel shifter in Touched by an Awaiku, came about because of an interest in Polynesian mythology. The character Johnny in Hot Tropic Haunt was inspired by my love of all things rockabilly, 1950s music and film, and James Dean.
