What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wanted to write a time travel cozy mystery series. The "house" is actually a home in a town we toured several years ago that we considered purchasing. As we walked through the house, a story unfolded with each step I took, and off I went.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I create characters from people I've met, and know. Then I combine their personalities and create my characters. I also like to give some of them quirks.

The hour struck midnight when she heard the distinct click of the back door. She listened to his movements, the squeak of the kitchen icebox, and then the creak of the back stairs.
Trishia was able to determine exactly what he was doing by the familiar sounds. She listened to the squeak of the faucet in the water closet, the running of the water, and Eric brushing his teeth.
His footsteps were muffled from the carpet in the hallway leading to his room. The moment she heard the door click, she opened hers.
With a quiet, stealthy step she arrived at his bedroom door, listened, and watched to see if there would be a flash of light.
Disappointment and anger filled her. The moment she saw the flash she opened his door. What she saw was astounding. Her head spun in disbelief. She blinked several times, thinking it was a trick of shadows.
Holding his fancy, custom-made music stand, Eric disappeared. The brief look of shock on his face held her frozen in place. It was such a fleeting split second, she doubted herself.
Did she just see the man disappear right before her eyes?
