What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The eleven authors who contributed novellas to the SPRING INTO LOVE boxed set enjoy writing heartwarming and sexy contemporary romance stories featuring heroines you root for and heroes to die for. Our readers know they’ll find a great romantic journey to a wonderful happily-ever-after in our books. There’s no better inspiration than the chance to entertain and engage our readers.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I get ideas for characters from movies, TV shows, magazine articles, and everyday life. I use the “What if?” approach: What if law enforcement agencies put a female DEA agent and a male police detective undercover at a sex club without telling each other? That’s the beginning idea of my comic romantic suspense, AT HER COMMAND. What if a free-spirited sex therapist helps a no-nonsense police detective solve sex crimes in Vegas, where anything goes? That’s the premise of my comic romantic mystery, SEX & THE SINGLE THERAPIST. Having a quirky sense of humor helps when imagining plots and choosing characters.
