What inspired you to write your memoir?
I wanted to tell the world that my life did not end after I retired from my first job. There were many more opportunities for me in a world full of opportunities and I certainly found them and enjoyed life to the fullest in spite of a bout with cancer and a car accident which I miraculously survived..
About your Book:
This book is about the wonders of retirement experienced first-hand by the author who at first was devastated by her sudden retirement in her still youthful days. She learnt through her many experiences that retirement is a time to enjoy life. Since the book was about retirement which is a dreaded word to the “not yet retired,“ and which was dreaded even by the author, the author sought to dispel fears about retirement throughout the book.
The author has surely proved that when she retired from her first job she definitely did not retire from life.
This book is dedicated to all persons who have retired, are about to retire, and even those who are looking forward to retirement in the distant future. The time to plan for retirement is in your early years, if you want to have a fun retirement.
How did you decide how to publish your book and where is it published through:
I publish all my books with Amazon Kindle Publishing and with Create Space.
It costs me nothing to publish my books on these places and they also sell my books in several countries.
How do you see writing a Memoir as different from writing other genres of books?
A Memoir is a true story and information for such a book comes from memory . Events and characters cannot change as if you are writing fiction.

Brenda Mohammed is a former banker and insurance professional who turned to writing. She retired from banking in 1999 and from the insurance industry in 2010. Brenda has published seven paper back books and nineteen kindle books.
