BookGoodies host Deborah Carney is joined by satire writer Ira Nayman who shares his insights into publishing plus advice for writers.
From Ira:
I have published my satirical writing weekly on my Web site, Les Pages aux Folles, for almost 10 years. In that time, I have self-published three collections of humourous science fiction stories taken from the Web site in print. Over the past year, I have sold four short stories to anthology publishers and a couple of weeks ago sold my first novel to a British publisher.
Winner, 2010 Jonathan Swift Satire Writing Contest
Author of the novel Welcome to the Multiverse (Sorry for the Inconvenience) coming from Elsewhen Press, and the short story collections Alternate Reality Ain’t What It Used To Be, What Were Once Miracles Are Now Children’s Toys

Where to find his Antonio Van der Whall short stories:
“A Really Useful Engine” can be found in the anthology Even Birds Are Chained To The Sky and Other Tales: The Fine Line Short Story Collection
“Escalation is Academic” is in UnCONventional (Spencer Hill Press)
“Thinking is the Worst Way to Travel” was published in Explorers: Beyond the Horizon (Dead Robot Society)
“If the Mountain Won’t Come to Mohammed” is in the anthology Here Be Monsters 6
I think that last one is only available in bookstores in Montreal, where it was published.
