About Jessica Marie Baumgartner:
Jessica is the author of “Walk Your Path,” two children’s books, and numerous stories and articles which have been featured by: the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Chicken Soup for the Soul, LitReactor, Mothers Always Write, and many more. Her work has won 2 Missouri Writer’s Guild Awards, and countless others and she has an upcoming release titled, “The Magic of Nature,” set to release in May of 2021.
What inspires you to write?
Reaching out to others.

Roald Dahl, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Sybil Leek, and Joy Adamson
Tell us about your writing process.
I fit in writing whenever I can. Usually after hiking, fishing, swimming, or having some kind of adventure.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
When I write fiction I let the story tell me what to do, the character do what they want whether I write it or not so I follow them.
What advice would you give other writers?
Grow your skills and learn to translate thought as clearly as possible.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I have always needed outside help to properly present my work in a professional manner.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It's always changing
