What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My friends actually encouraged me to write this book for years!! I grew up in a very organized home. As a teenager I was always attracted to lifestyle and interior design magazines. My mom had a friend who was a professional organizer. During college I was lucky to have two internships, one in my major and another one was with her organizing company. Over the years I picked up a lot of tips and tricks I use in our homes. My friends have begged me to share those tips with them and now I am compelled to share them with you.

Home office / Desk
One of the best ways to declutter your desk is to start all over. You can use the timer and allow yourself one hour. Give yourself ample time to complete the task. Take a picture of your desk so you can see where your trouble spots lie. Then take everything off your desk and put it in boxes.
Go through the boxes and decide what you need on your desk. Anything you don’t want discard. Only keep the things you need, not the things you might need. The next thing is you need to give your desk a working order.
Move things across your desk from left to right which is a natural order. Find a place for everything. Do not create a pile of “stuff” to put away later. The best way to keep a decluttered desk is to place similar items together. This helps to expedite the process.
