Author Self Serve Interview

Our Author Interviews are widely read by our site visitors and go out in our daily newsletter plus all of our social media. Best of all they are free! We don’t charge you for posting your interview to our site. Plus we are using the information you submit on your interview to create tips books for authors, and even are planning to start sharing tidbits on our Facebook and other social media on cool images. So be honest and thoughtful when answering our questions.

Please note that there is currently a several week delay after submission before your interview will show up on our site due to the volume of submissions.

To keep this a free service we need your cooperation in giving us accurate information without us having to make corrections. You are not able to edit your information once it is submitted. Please be considerate and take an extra minute to re-read your entry. Thank you for helping us keep this service available and free.

Be sure to check and see if you already have an interview on our site before submitting, go up to that box all the way up in the right hand corner and do a search for yourself. If you aren’t there, get busy and fill this out!

Have an old interview you would like to update? If you have lots of new info, fill out a new interview and at the top of the first field link to the old interview that you would like deleted. To add information to your interview page you can submit a comment and we will approve it for our readers to see.

Please follow the instructions on the form or your interview will not be posted. Incomplete or incorrectly filled out submissions will be deleted without notice.

  • If you use a pen name that is the name we need here. This will go in the title of your interview post.
  • Email will not be displayed or shared.

  • Tell your potential readers about yourself so they can get to know you. Think about what you want to know about the authors you read.

    What you post here will be used as is, we don't edit for grammar or typos. This is where readers get to know you, so think and type carefully. You will not be able to edit this post.

  • Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.

    Please use an image of yourself or yourself holding your book, not a book cover. If you prefer not to have your photo then leave this blank.

    Please name your image with *your name or pen name* (no spaces). If you give your image a generic name it will be overwritten by another person that loads a file with the same name. This is important. Please name your file appropriately.

    Remember that I do not know what you look like, I don't know if the picture in your post is you or not. 🙂

  • In our recent reader survey readers indicated they like to know what inspired authors.

  • Are you an outliner or a seat of the pants writer? If you are an outliner, what do you use to outline? Whiteboard? Software? Do you create character sketches before or during your writing?

    This is where you talk about your writing process so others can learn from your way of doing things. Readers tell us this is stuff they want to know too.
